Frequently Asked Questions about the Legal Side of DigiU

One of the principles of DigiU is honesty and openness. All company documents are publicly available in the "Information" section of your Personal Account. Our partners regularly ask us questions related to these documents and the legal side of the company in general. In this post we provide detailed answers to some of them????

❓Where is DigiU registered?

We incorporated the parent company DigiU Holdings Ltd in the EU jurisdiction (Cyprus) in 2020 and are in the process of consolidating all business assets and intellectual property in that company. We have also registered an SPV company in Cyprus, DigiU Finance Ltd.

❓Why are we registered in Cyprus?

Cyprus is a respectable European jurisdiction with strict legal regulation. But at the same time, Cyprus is an affordable option in terms of financial expenditure.

❓What securities do DigiU partners receive?

The company's charter states that DigiU Holdings Ltd. has issued 200 billion shares.
A 10% stake in DigiU Holdings Ltd (i.e. 20 billion shares) will be distributed through crowd-investing. This 10% stake is held by DigiU Finance Ltd.
DigiU Finance Ltd has issued securities - notes, at the rate of 1 note = 1 share for this package of shares. The purpose of the notes, according to the prospectus of the issue, is to pay out to the owner of the note the return on shares of DigiU Holdings Ltd - dividends and other possible payments. It is these notes that the DigiU partners receive!

❓What is ISIN and why is it needed?

???? ISIN is the International Securities Identification Number. The ISIN number consists of 12 digits. It serves as an identifier of the security when conducting transactions and other operations with the security. The notes issued by DIGIU FINANCE LTD. were assigned ISIN number CY0149382117 on 25 February 2021. The entire issue of DigiU securities - notes - has one ISIN number.

ISIN is a confirmation that we are completely legal in the registered jurisdiction, our documents have been thoroughly examined and approved by the lawyers of the regulator.

The ISIN number is issued by a National Numbering Agency (NNA). Every country has its own NNA. In Cyprus, this role is performed by the Cyprus Stock Exchange. Searching on these sites is possible for any person. In order to access the search, such person needs to be authorized.

❓What is KYC-verification and why go through it?

KYC (Know Your Customer) is a compulsory process to identify and verify your customer's identity.

KYC verification is necessary in order to exchange DigiU shares for securities - notes. It is available to DigiU partners in 26 countries: Russia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, India, Poland, Czech Republic, France, Italy, Spain, Cuba, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Ivory Coast, Croatia and Slovenia. You can get verified in your Personal Account. In the near future, all other countries represented in the project will also be able to undergo KYC.

This is only a part of the important legal questions that our partners ask. We will definitely tell you more in the next posts. Follow the updates!
