Future Is Near: Overview of Supercomputer Market

The demand for computational power for AI, research, and data analysis beyond traditional data centers is growing. Personal supercomputers are gaining increasing importance in this process. Currently, the global market for personal supercomputers is valued at $2.2-2.3 billion. For comparison, the PC market is worth $200 billion. While the gap is still significant, the supercomputer segment is showing steady growth.

Historically, computers have evolved from machines that occupied entire rooms to personal devices accessible to everyone. Today, supercomputers are becoming more compact and efficient, ensuring secure and convenient data processing. The next stage of evolution is clear: «computational power will be generated directly by users».

The sector is still in its early stages, but according to the «Personal Supercomputers Market Report 2026–2033», it is expected to grow at an annual rate of 9-10% over the next decade.

The most well-known examples of personal supercomputers today:

  1. Apple Mac Studio

A desktop computer for professional tasks such as video editing, 3D rendering, and development. Its performance reaches about 38 TOPS.

  1. Nvidia Jetson Orin Nano

A compact supercomputer for generative AI and robotics tasks. Its performance reaches 67 TOPS, enabling work with large language models and machine vision systems. The device is energy-efficient and suitable for developing and running AI applications.

  1. Tesla’s latest models for AI computing:
  • Tesla A15 Chip
  • Tesla A16 Chip
  • Tesla Cortex AI Training Supercluster

Tesla is developing its own supercomputers for training neural networks and implementing autonomous driving. The centerpiece is Dojo, which processes data from machine vision sensors and achieves a performance of 432 TOPS.

  1. Nvidia’s latest models:
  • Nvidia DGX Station
  • Nvidia DGX Spark

The DGX Station is a workstation for AI tasks with a performance of about 20,000 TOPS (20 petaflops). The more compact DGX Spark delivers power at 1,000 TOPS (1 petaflop). Both systems are built on the new Grace Blackwell chips and are designed for the most complex computational tasks in artificial intelligence.

What is a personal supercomputer for DigiU?

  • a device that stores and processes user data with high speed and security;
  • a tool that helps digital agents analyze information, provide advice, and shape your digital identity.

In DigiU’s concept of digital identity, the supercomputer plays a vital role. It enables the secure and conscious creation of a digital copy of a person: first as a personal assistant, and later as a fully-fledged digital twin capable of continuing to exist even after its creator is gone.

In the near future, DigiU will focus its efforts on developing personal supercomputers for users, which are no longer science fiction but are becoming part of technological reality. Soon, we will unveil prototypes of future devices and their technical specifications.
