From Concepts to Action: How Robots Are Becoming Part of Everyday Life

By 2040, the number of robots could surpass 10 billion, while Earth's population is just over 8 billion. This was stated by Elon Musk at the 8th Future Investment Initiative conference. Experts predict the robotics industry will grow to $286,798.3 million by 2032.

The robotics market’s growth will rely on three key factors:

  • widespread adoption of industrial solutions,
  • development of medical robots,
  • rapid advancements in artificial intelligence.

This marks a shift toward a world where technology works, and humans control it.

In 2024, the robotics market was valued at $74,120.7 million. By 2029, it’s expected to reach $165 billion. The «Robotics as a Service» (RaaS) segment could grow from $16 billion to $125 billion by 2034. The humanoid robot segment is projected to hit $38 billion by 2035.

Industry leaders include:

  • Boston Dynamics produces humanoid and quadruped robots like Atlas and Spot, widely used in industry and logistics. As a private company, its valuation is undisclosed, but estimates placed it at ~$1.1 billion in 2021.
  • NVIDIA develops AI solutions and chips for robotics. Market cap: $2.793 trillion. Key product: Jetson AGX Orin, an AI supercomputer for robotics, autonomous vehicles, and embedded systems. They also launched the Cosmos platform for AI agent training and simulation.
  • ABB Robotics: creator of YuMi, the world’s first dual-arm robot designed for safe human collaboration without barriers. Market cap: $102.26 billion.
  • FANUC: A global leader in industrial automation. Market cap: $25.26 billion.
  • iRobot: a pioneer in robotics, known for the Roomba, the first mass-market home robot, with over 40 million household robots sold. The company continues innovating in smart home devices. Market cap: ~ $78.17 million.

DigiU sees the fusion of robotics and AI as a defining trend that demands close attention. We’re exploring technologies, assessing potential, building strategies, and preparing our response to the global technological evolution.
